Senate urged to press WADA over China clash

71% Informative
U.S. officials, experts urge Senate subcommittee to keep pressure on World Anti-Doping Agency .
WADA says hearing is a distraction orchestrated by WADA CEO Travis Tygart .
Hearing was in support of a bill that would allow the White House to restrict funding from an international agency.
The panel was uniformly critical of WADA , as are members of Congress who have addressed the issue.
WADA officials say if they had appealed the cases to the Court of Arbitration for Sport , the ultimate authority in the anti-doping world, it would have lost.
"To suggest without evidence that these athletes from China have cheated is factually wrong and deeply unfair," WADA says.
