Meta wins AI copyright case, but judge says others could bring lawsuits

The judge left the door open for other authors to bring similar AI-related copyright lawsuits against Meta .
U.S. District Judge Vince Chhabria sided with Meta 's argument that its use of books to train its large language models, or LLMs, is protected under the fair use doctrine.
