Ontario man dies at Fernie Alpine Resort after being found buried in sinkhole

A 67-year-old man died at Fernie Alpine Resort despite “tremendous efforts” to rescue him, RCMP say.
The man was found buried in a natural terrain trap, buried in snow near the top of the ski hill .
The victim was taken off life support after several hours of medical intervention.
Poor visibility is believed to have led the man into a trap under the Polar Peak lift.
