Warsaw to turn Russian “spy” building into housing for public servants

Polish authorities seized the complex in 2022 after Russia 's invasion of Ukraine .

The complex was built by the Soviets in the 1970s and later became known by locals as Spyville ’ In the long run, the premises of Spyville will be renovated and turned into apartments for public servants.

Warsaw estimates that the renovation will cost at least 100 million zloty.

Despite initial hopes to quickly re-open the facility, the building also turned out to be in unusable condition.
