Ombudsman: Windsor school board correctly held meeting away from angry crowd

Ontario Ombudsman Paul Dube ruled that Windsor school board trustees did nothing wrong after a complaint they held part of a volatile public meeting in private.
The complaint stemmed from a raucous June 25 special board meeting, where Windsor police were called to deal with a hostile crowd.
The contentious meeting was convened to determine if trustee Linda Qin should be disciplined following complaints about her behaviour.
“My office was told that one trustee arrived at their vehicle to find multiple attendees waiting, attempting to confront them,” Dube wrote. twilhelm@postmedia.com.
