Ireland and Italy send data watchdog requests to DeepSeek: 'The data of millions of Italians is at risk' | TechCrunch

Data Protection Commission in Ireland has written to DeepSeek asking for information on data processing.
The data protection watchdog in Italy has also sent a similar request to the company.
The Italian DPA said it wants to know what personal data is collected, from which sources, and for which purposes.
Euroconsumers, a coalition of consumer groups in Europe , filed a complaint to the Italian Data Protection Authority .
DeepSeek’s apps have now been pulled from the major Italian app stores, although it appears to still be live online in the country.
