UN: Reports of sexual violence amid worsening crisis in eastern Congo

Fighting has intensified in recent days after the M23 rebel group claimed control of Goma on Lake Kivu .
The Rwanda -backed M23 militia is one of more than 100 armed groups in resource-rich eastern Congo .
In the territories it has occupied, M23 has "occupied schools and hospitals," the UN says.
The group has "subjected the civilian population to forced conscription and forced labour," it says.
