Baby shark mysteriously born in aquarium tank housing only females | CNN

Shark pup Yoko was born in early January at Shreveport Aquarium in Louisiana .
The pup hatched from an egg in a tank containing two female sharks but no male ones.
Neither of the sharks had had contact with a male for more than three years , the aquarium says.
A phenomenon called parthenogenesis, a form of asexual reproduction, could have occurred.
