Wealth gap fuels health inequality for over 50s: new study reveals lifestyle divide and depression link

Researchers from Surrey analysed data from over 3,000 adults aged 50-90 .
Found that while nearly 70% of older adults reported engaging in some form of physical activity, there were stark differences based on wealth.
Older adults in the highest wealth quintile were, in fact, nearly twice as likely to be physically active compared to those in the lowest.
Similar disparities were found in fruit and vegetable consumption.
