Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon spoke to Fox News Digital at the National Governors Association's Winter Meeting in Washington , D.C. , over the past few days .
He said he is "happy" and "excited" about what he's seen so far with energy.
Gordon touted his track record of working with other governors in western states with regard to energy production and pushing back on the Biden administration’s efforts to halt new energy projects.
"There's going to be a little bit of overdo," he said.
"I think we're seeing some of that get kind of reined back in, but we should always ask, 'Is this valuable?’ which is a question we should ask," he added.
