J.D. Power has released a 2025 U.S. Vehicle Dependability Study that shows how many problems per 100 vehicles ( PP100 ) each automaker has had this year .
A higher score indicates that there are more reported problems with the automaker's vehicles, while a lower score indicates higher vehicle quality.
Overall, the study has shown an industry average of 202 PP100 , so we gathered the top 10 brands from that list, which fall far below the average.
Lexus ranked highest overall in vehicle dependability for the third consecutive time.
Buick scored a 143 PP100 in this year 's study, which is an improvement of 6 PP100 compared to last year's score.
Lexus scored a little higher this year with 140 PP100 .
