There were an estimated 55,667 millionaires with assets of more than $10 m living in the UK in 2024 .

This was an increase of just 515 less than 1pc on the year before .

America is home to almost 39pc of the world population with more than 7.7 m.

Europe experienced growth of just 1.4pc, to 343,176 .

The lack of retail investing culture in the UK could also be stopping individuals hitting their financial potential, says Mr Wright .
