Gloucestershire company wins prize for inventing way to produce clean water on moon

The 1.2 m Aqualunar Challenge is designed to encourage innovative solutions to the problem of producing drinking water from ice-rich regolith rocks and dust around the moon’s south pole.
Temperatures on the moon can fall as low as -173C, there is low gravity and the pressure is so low that the moon is considered as being under vacuum conditions.
