The Atlantic magazine published purported details discussed in the group chat on the Yemen strike.

The Atlantic published text messages sent to the group, including its editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg , from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth .

"This is when the first bomb bombs will DEFINITELY DROP," he texted at one point, noting the military time of 1415 ( 2:15 p.m. ) for the planned strike.

"I take full responsibility," said National Security Adviser Mike Waltz .

CIA Director John Ratcliffe says he used Signal app to communicate sensitive information.

The Atlantic says it released text messages to counter claims that no classified information was released.

CIA Director Richard Ratcliffe testifies before the House Intelligence Committee that there was no misuse of the Signal app.

Former defense and intelligence officials say such exchanges should have never been made in such a group chat.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that he, too, was on the Signal chat.

Marco Rubio said, "Someone made a big mistake and added a journalist" Elon Musk and his team at the Department of Government Efficiency ( DOGE ) are reviewing how Goldberg was added to a Signal chat, a White House official said.
