Japan seeks full removal of US tariffs ahead of trade talks

Japan will seek removal of additional tariffs imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump , its top negotiator Ryosei Akazawa says.
Japan has been hit with 24% levies on its exports to the United States but these tariffs have, like most of Trump 's sweeping "reciprocal" tariffs, have been paused for 90 days .
Akazawawa , who is Japan 's economy minister, will visit Washington from Wednesday to Friday for talks.
