'Belief all along' pushes Hitmen to brink of third-round berth in WHL playoffs

Calgary Hitmen beat Lethbridge Hurricanes 6-5 in overtime of Game 5 at Scotiabank Saddledome .
The Canes were down 2 -0 in their Western Hockey League playoff series after a pair of losses on home ice to the rival Lethbridge .
The Hitmen own a 3 -2 edge in the second -round series with a chance to close the best-of-seven out Saturday night at VisitLethbridge.com Arena ( 7 p.m. ).
“( Friday ) was huge, obviously, to take advantage of that home ice,” added Kindel . “And it was really nice to win in front of our fans, as well. “It’s obviously cool to get those two wins and set us up for ( Saturday ) night to close the series out.”.
