Zack Wester became the first Haywood County pitcher to throw a perfect game at the high school level.

Pisgah sophomore Zack Wester threw one last week against Madison High School .

"It was the craziest feeling I’ve ever had,” Wester said.

The feat makes Wester the second high school pitcher west of Asheville and the first since 2000 .

Only two other North Carolina players in North Carolina history have done the feat.

No one has done it since 1991 .

Wester hopes to throw two perfect games in high school.

“To have a game like that really means a lot and should help me going forward,” Wester said.
