Calgary Roughnecks bow out of NLL playoffs early with loss to Thunderbirds

51% Informative
Calgary Roughnecks lose 16-12 to host Halifax Thunderbirds in National Lacrosse League quarterfinal.
Roughneck legends Dane Dobbie , 38 , and Curtis Dickson , 36 , both returned to the team after years away from the San Diego franchise.
The T-birds got five more goals in the first half to extend their lead to 8-3 by halftime.
Coach Josh Sanderson : “I just don’t think we had that same edge that we’ve been having the last few games, and Halifax was a bit hungrier than us”.
“From a talent and grit-and-grind standpoint, we’re not going to roll over just because we’re down. If there’s time on the clock, the Calgary Roughnecks are going to fight for it. “But not the way we wanted to end it,” added Salama . “We just didn’t have it.”.
