Some 65 grads of M.E. LaZerte High School’s class of 2000 had their 25th reunion this weekend in Edmonton .
The group found typical high school memorabilia: T-shirts emblazoned with the high school logo and the horn used for cheers at pep rallies.
There were rueful smiles for the poster with pop-culture remnants that were a thing in the day .
Bayda went on to the University of Alberta , and now, he works for a non-profit, helping entrepreneurs start businesses.
He's still best friends with his best friend from high school, who helped pull together the reunion’s digital slideshow and accompanying Spotify list.
“In 2000 , I think it was easy to kind of envision this perfect life that you would have. And I think a lot of people found out that life is more of a journey that you never quite predict,” Bayda said.
