Shelby junior Katie Taylor has been described as the perfect teammate by Whippet softball coach Samantha Martin .
Taylor had a breakout game in a massive 9 -4 win over Clear Fork putting the Whippets into a tie for first place in the league standings.
Clear Fork broke through in the bottom of the third and fourth innings with three unanswered runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
"We are all still hunting and we play Ontario next week ," Martin said. "It is still anyone's league to win and that makes these games really fun to play in. They get you ready for the tournament because you are seeing really good teams on a daily basis.
