Muslims are more likely than members of other religious groups to pray daily in nearly all countries surveyed.
The religiously unaffiliated are the least likely to pray in some countries.
Women are significantly more likely to say that they pray in nearly every country surveyed.
About one-third or fewer of European adults report being regular attenders.
Women are more likely than men to attend temples, churches and other houses of worship.
Muslims and Hindus are generally the most likely to say they fast during holy times.
The only country surveyed where people who pray daily are less likely to attend worship services is Bangladesh .
Large majorities of Hindus say they light incense or candles for spiritual or religious reasons.
Fewer than one-quarter of religiously unaffiliated adults in every country surveyed say they wear or carry religious symbols.
