Anthony Stolarz was smiling and in the building at Toronto 's practice facility Tuesday morning .

The Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube didn’t rule out his starting netminder for Game 2 of the Leafs’ second -round matchup with the Florida Panthers .

The 31-year-old was on the receiving end of an elbow from Sam Bennett in the opening game of the series.

The Leafs beat the Panthers 5-4 Monday to take a 1 -0 lead in a showdown of Atlantic Division heavyweights.

The Panthers head coach Paul Maurice tried to pour cold water on the situation Monday night and again Tuesday morning .

“Most of this, for me, is tempered by the fact that Stolie is one of our guys,” Maurice said.

Berube said the situation would have been handled differently during his playing days .
