Tesla's 'Robotaxi' brand might be too generic to trademark
75% Informative
Tesla was hoping to trademark the term " Robotaxi " for its self-driving car service.
The US Patent and Trademark Office says the term is generic and already in use by other companies.
Tesla will have to provide more evidence to change the office's mind.
The company is also facing difficulties trademarking " Cybercab ," the name of its autonomous car.
