Maryland football, Beautiful Lives Project team up for ‘Field of Dreams’

Maryland hosted a “ Football Field of Dreams ” for 100 individuals with disabilities on Wednesday .
The event was a result of a collaboration between Maryland and the Beautiful Lives Project .
Participants tried hitting targets with their passes, kicking balls off tees and taking part in relays.
Participants tackled a giant padded circle and returned an interception for a touchdown.
Terps players and coaches hosted the Beautiful Lives Project at their indoor facility.
Coach Locksley said it was refreshing to see players helping participants put spirals on their throws.
“I got choked up walking around here,” he said, “It was almost like, Wow, there is still some good in college sports”.
