Bengals’ baseball season comes to an end at Super Regionals

Lewiston Bengals had one way to make it into the state baseball tournament.
The Bengals won their first game against Burley 7-6, then lost to the Super Regional- winner Vallivue Falcons 3-1 .
Coach Darren Trainor said the team simply did not do enough to earn the win.
Trainor: "I’m extremely proud of them. The goal every year is to play your best baseball".
Lewiston has seven rising seniors that have contributed to the team consistently this season .
The Bengals also have a rising junior in Peyton Bonebrake , who has proven to be a solid starter at catcher or designated hitter.
Coach Trainor said the offseason work that each player puts in will decide the performance of next season .
