Scientists discover class of crystals with properties that may prove revolutionary 'Intercrystals' pave the way for greener electronics and quantum technologies .

Rutgers University-New Brunswick researchers have discovered a new class of materials -- called intercrystals -- with unique electronic properties.

Intercrystals exhibit newly discovered forms of electronic properties that could power future technologies.

Other Rutgers researchers contributed to the study included research associates Xinyuan Lai , Guohong Li and Angela Coe of the Department of Physics and Astronomy.

Scientists from the National Institute for Materials Science in Japan also contributed.
