Windsor police dog Link helps catch suspect with loaded gun

Police responded to a weapons call Tuesday evening outside a downtown apartment building.
Witnesses said a person with a handgun pointed it at another individual outside of an apartment building in the 1600 block of Ouellette Avenue .
Police said the suspect and another person then fled eastbound on foot on foot.
With K9 officer Link and his handler in hot pursuit, they didn’t get very far.
The suspects were tracked to a block of Goyeau Street where they were arrested without incident.
A 45-year-old man now faces several firearm charges.
