Holland jumper soars to state title; strong meet for Holland Christian, Hamilton athletes

Alba Rodriguez-Lima wins high jump state championship in high jump.
It's the first state title for a Holland student since Levi Hondered won the long jump title three years ago .
Sturgis wins girls state championship with 54.2 points, followed by Goodrich ( 39 ) and Saginaw Swan Valley ( 38 ) Holland Christian finishes in 16th , Holland 23rd with 10 points and Hamilton scored one.
Hamilton senior Jeren Bronkhorst : "It was such an honor".
Avery Engbers finished seventh in the 1,600 and 7th in the 3,200 .
Her brother, Will , plans to run track and cross country at Grand Valley State in the fall.
Hamilton Athletic Director Eric Talsma put together almost 300 volunteers to run the event.
