Trump says LA is under siege, but the mayor and governor paint a different picture

President Donald Trump says Los Angeles would have been "completely obliterated" if he hadn't mobilized National Guard troops.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Gov. Gavin Newsom have accused Trump of making sensational public claims about how widespread the violence has been.

"He flamed the fires and illegally acted" by mobilizing the National Guard , Newsom says of the president.
