Portsmouth girls lacrosse caps undefeated season with second straight state championship

Portsmouth High School senior Morgan Ruhnke scored a game-high six goals as the top-seeded Clippers beat Souhegan 12-7 .
Portsmouth finished the season with a record of 20 -0 and will take a 27 -game win streak into next year .
It was the second straight Division I state championship for the Clippers , who have played in nine straight championship games since 2016 .
Vinciguerra said it was fun watching the Clippers grow individually and as a team throughout the season .
"We kept pushing ourselves to get better. It's a tribute to our team and how much we push each other," she said.
" Morgan was such a great leader for me, but I think we have great people coming in," she added.
