Drive for five: Larson, Taunton softball come from behind to win fifth straight D1 title

Taunton High School softball defeated Wachusett 10-4 to win their fifth consecutive MIAA Division 1 state championship.
Senior pitcher Cate Larson led the way both in the circle ( 7 innings, 8 hits, 2 earned runs, walk, 8 strikeouts) and at the plate ( 2 -for-4, double, home run, run, 4 RBIs) This is the program's second straight undefeated season, extending their winning streak to 56 games.
The Taunton Tigers won back-to-back state championships as a player in 2002 and 2003 .
