One man presumed drowned, another missing in two separate searches

West Vancouver police are asking people to stay away from Cabin Lake in Cypress Provincial Park area, where a man is presumed to have drowned over the weekend .

A 29-year-old Burnaby man was swimming with his fiancée in Cabin Lake on Sunday around 6:30 p.m. when he began to struggle and disappeared below the surface of the water.

North Shore Rescue and West Vancouver fire crews were called in to help with the search as daylight faded quickly.

Meanwhile, search crews were also active in Squamish after a vehicle with four occupants crashed and went into the water in early Saturday morning .
