The White House is urging Mexico to do more to stop sewage flowing into the U.S. from the Tijuana River

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Tuesday that the Trump administration is urging the Mexican government to do more to stop sewage flowing into the United States .

She highlighted President Donald Trump 's desire to “do what’s right” for the environment.

The issue has raised concerns about “beach closures, degradation of the Tijuana River Valley , and concerns of public health, air quality,” Zeldin said.
