As a result, energy generated by nuclear energy fell from 25 per cent of the country’s energy mix, to 11.3 per cent in 2021 , and then to zero in 2023 .
Germany had to burn more natural gas by 2021 , more than 40 per cent was imported from Russia .
Germany suffered as a result of poor decisions made on the basis of ideology not reality.
Ed Miliband and the UK government have no such excuse.
