The Supreme Court will hear arguments in a case that pits Oklahoma’s attorney general against a Catholic charter school

The Supreme Court will hear arguments in a case to decide whether an Oklahoma Catholic school can participate in the state’s charter school program.

The controversy arose after the Oklahoma Statewide Charter School Board approved a charter application from the Oklahoma City -based St. Isidore of Seville Catholic Virtual School .

Attorney Generalsued to block the school from being eligible for the program, saying that Oklahoma law mandated charter schools be “nonsectarian”.
