'Marissa' Rothenberger, a high school baseball player who identifies as a girl, pitched a state championship game shutout for Minnesota's Champlin Park Rebels

Champlin Park Rebels beat Bloomington Jefferson Jaguars 6 -0 in the 4A softball state championship game.

Marissa Rothenberger , a boy who identifies as a girl, pitched the entire game, giving up just two hits in 21 innings for the team.

Minnesota State High School League allows athletes to compete “consistent with their gender identity or expression in an environment free from discrimination with an equal opportunity for participation in athletics.
