Jonathan Turley said that California ’s legal challenge to President Donald Trump 's decision to deploy National Guard troops to that state is “very weak” Turley cited historical precedent and legal framework to dismantle the state's case.

Turley : The law clearly states that while the National Guard can be federalized by the president, that order should go through the office of the governor.

A federal judge denied California 's request to immediately block the deployment on Tuesday .
